The word Tellus is Latin for land, territory, or earth. For other uses and derivations see mythology here.
Our Philosophy
As former “Big Law”attorneys, we cut our teeth on national-level issues and high stakes deals. We deliver best-in-class client service, yet preserve smaller firm sensibilities, flexibility and much better pricing.
There are, in fact, very few environmental attorneys catering specifically to the transactional and business community to be found outside the big law firms. However, your business investments deserve high-caliber attention and scrutiny.
With Tellus, you benefit from several decades of expertise gained in the world’s most highly regarded business law firms, but at half the cost. We also act as “embedded counsel” to augment business and real estate firms on an “as needed” basis in order to deliver best value to your existing clients.
Founded in 2015, Tellus Law Group has evolved into an investor-centric law firm. Whether you are looking to expand your portfolio with distressed, environmentally impaired properties, have discovered environmental issues with existing assets, or received a notice of non-compliance, Tellus attorneys will be by your side to evaluate the risks and then create strategies to mitigate those risks. Rapid fire issue spotting and risk-assessment is our specialty.
Tellus Law Group represents a paradigm shift.
You no longer need to rely on environmental law generalists, real estate attorneys, or consultants to cover the nuances posed by environmental matters. Tellus brings the sophistication, savvy, and client service of a big firm business law practice within reach of small and mid-sized entities. This is our passion and the “Tellus Advantage” you gain when you put us on your deal team and in support of your regulatory compliance needs.
Social Responsibility & Civic Engagement
As members of the community with deep roots in conservation, Tellus lawyers are committed to working alongside others to improve and clean-up landscapes of all types. We believe that communities can thrive and even support development while safeguarding the environment and biodiversity. Through our commitment, Tellus plays a pivotal role in our community (local and more broadly) advancing the mission of environmental stewardship and sustainable development. Please get in touch with us to discuss the possibility of pro bono services, and other community engagement or educational opportunities.
